Objective
To supply clean water to victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. They needed help fast, so a poster campaign and collection box wouldn’t cut it. We set out to hijack something our employees do every day to raise funds quickly.
Concept
Within 48hrs we hacked one of our entrance gates to create the world’s first “charity turnstile”. Employees tap in with their ID card to send an instant micro donation from their salary. Every penny raised supplied clean water to victims in the Philippines
Results
We hijacked their daily routine of Engine employees to collect over 9,000 micro donations in 7 days. Most importantly, our test case supplied clean water to 3,730 victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
